The vineyards of Cascina Nuova take their name from our farmhouse, the seat of our winery. The land is adjacent to the cru of Arborina and thus have quite similar soil properties. Here, we cultivate barbera grapes according to strict qualitative standards by selecting only the best grapes with a low yield, giving us a concentrated, full-bodied Barbera d’Alba, which benefits from a slow aging in wood.
Cru and vineyards
We vinify our Barolo crus by respecting the seasonality of each harvest, without forcing the grapes’ limits or artificially “adjusting” during the course of our work. If our grapes or wines do not display the desired characteristics, we prefer not to vinify the vintage at all rather than betray the quality towards which we strive.
